Dear Parents and Family Members,
The Nest Academy is hosting a food drive to help those in need in our community.
There’s no doubt about it… times are tough and our local community food bank needs our help! The tough part is that more people are relying on the Food Bank’s services than ever before. Let’s do our part to help our neighbors, friends and family today! Let’s teach our children the sense and importance of helping the needy ones.
Please drop off food donations in the bins/boxes located at your children’s classrooms.
We will be collecting donations through November 24, 2015.
Non-Perishable Food Items Needed:
o Canned vegetables & fruits
o Canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni & cheese)
o Canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils)
o Pasta, rice, low sugar cereals
o Peanut butter
o Baby formula & baby foods (check expiration dates)
o Holiday foods during the holiday season (cranberry sauce, dry stuffing mix, cake mixes & frosting, etc.)
o Instant mixes like potatoes, gravies and sauces that add a little something special to a holiday meal.
o Canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon) that do not require refrigeration before opening.
o 100% fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed)
Thank you all in advance for your participation and help!
